Part of learning how to float
is learning
how to honor the process
It’s not all about the destination
the final product
the answer
It’s being a part of the journey
it’s belonging to a team –
and not going it alone
It’s being more patient
more open
more mindful
I’m learning how to honor the process
of creating
of learning
of growing
I’m learning how to float.
I love, love, love that you incorporated your olw into your slice today at the end.
This is a beautiful poem. The message is one I needed to hear. Thank you.
How right you are Dana! The process is far more important because that is where the learning is. Great insight!
I love “part of belonging to a team – not going it alone.” Sometimes teaching can be a lonely profession. Beautiful words create deep thoughts for me today.
I’m intrigued by the expression “honor the process”. Boy, that could apply to anything and everything in our lives, couldn’t it? …work, student progress, personal relationships, raising children. Honoring the process is being patient and not abandoning the effort. Nicely said here!
I think this speaks so true about the vision of TWT and the March SOLSC too! Quite a journey and process with some intentional floating. 🙂 Also loved how your words floated on the page.
Your poem seems to float off the page! Another thing about floating is to trust that you won’t sink…as in water…or in the air…or in the world of words. Nice post…I really enjoyed it and it made me stop thinking so much right now and try to float! Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
I like how you said it is not all about the answer, it’s the journey. This can connect to so many different things in your life. Love it.
Floating is definitely part of the journey. You’re spot on. It’s going to take time to float well, but I know it’ll come. 🙂
Oh floating. I felt floaty today. I like this.
I really love the “floating” analogy! This was a lovely moment of reading for me today!
Just love this! What a great way to think about your little word for the year! Excellent!
Thank you for the reminder that the journey is just as important as the end result. Loved the look and shape of your poem.
You floated well this week! 🙂
Awesome poem! I love the structure and how it too seems to float!
