Repempature and Messaninn

Today is a Sick Day.  I’m not sick, but my poor Maddie is and my little Katie wishes she was.  As I approach Maddie with the thermometer, Katie demands “Take my repempature, too, Mommy!  Check my repempature!”  Taking the thermometer gently from Maddie’s mouth, I tell her “Your fever is still pretty high, sweetheart.  I’m going to call the doctor.”  Here comes Katie, trailing at my feet, “I have a feeva, too, Mommy!  Check my feeva!”  I place the medicine dispenser at Maddie’s lips.  “Drink this medicine, honey,” I say.  Then, I hear Katie from the other room, wailing,”I need messaninn, too!  I need messaninn!”

My sweet Maddie, laying on the couch so lethargic and pale.  My sweet Katie, wanting to be just like her sister.  It’s true love between them – in sickness or in health, I guess.

  1. Awww! Little Katie!

Hoping SHE stays well and that Maddie feels better soon. (Do you know half of the TWT crew has kids home sick today? You, Betsy, and Anna have sick ones today. Yuck!)
