Making Strudel, Making Memories

I was inspired by Stacey’s post, Twelve Minutes, to try a digital storytelling tool.  I used the Steller app to create this week’s Slice of Life Story.

  1. I’ve seen these photos on your Facebook feed for the past two years. I thought it was just a family baking day, but it’s about so much more than that. Thanks for sharing the back story with us too.

  2. I love this and I love that you gave the new technology a go! We are trying to be better about using new digital tools. Your family will treasure have this memory captured in a digital story. Thanks

  3. Dana, I tweeted to you about this Slice. It’s absolutely beautiful!! So heartfelt, between an ode to a wonderful teacher and to family traditions. I grinned from ear to ear as I viewed your story. Thanks so much for sharing! I’ve downloaded the app and look forward to giving it a go. 🙂

  4. Love that you captured this wonderful story of family generations doing something they love all together. And love how you presented, along with those littlest ones stirring and rolling out the dough. I used to spend time at an aunts every fall with a big iron pot outside, peeling and peeling, making apple butter. Divine, like your strudel, Dana. Thank you!

  5. I got very bogged down in my commenting by trying to figure out Steller with my daughter. Thanks for the push to both you and to Stacey. We are figuring this digital story-telling thing out. The video part is still out of reach, but tomorrow is a new day.

Oh, and love the strudel and the story that goes with it!
